Alright, sounds like the ticket. I'm doing my due diligence, price, size and so on. I'm sure with all the help everyone has given me here, NASA will wanna hire me with all my electronic stuff. Lol

Bluetooth printers are hard to find and a little pricey. They're not very common in utah, anyways.

Wireless printers require internet. not sure about the direct access method. but neither printer in the house or the truck will work without internet.

i can see the phone needing the mobile hotspot turned on. As that's the wifi access. And it does it through the internet. If i got no internet signal, i can't print wirelessly. ( on the truck ) and that printer is 5 years old.

Not sure on the house method, haven't really fooled with it yet to see if i can do the direct acess to the router without the internet. I just bought a new printer. The old printer would defenitly not work without the internet. There's an email method setup through the printer installation software. But i haven't used it. Probably never will. And at the moment, don't even remember what it is.

You can print wirelessly from your phone or tablet. It wasn't an easy task in the early days. Haven't tried it with the new phone which has the latest android operating system. So i have no idea if things have gotten easier. I"m also still using my 5 year old printer in the truck. And don't feel like screwing around with the home printer which is already set up for home network.
