Why did you rule out Marten Transport?

A co-worker drove for them for several years...& had no negative comments about them. He is now hauling fuel just to be home daily.

I forgot about MVL. That's a good one to go with. I want to say they have a presence in Nashville even though they're headquartered in Mississippi somewhere.

I hear a lot of drivers rule out Ozark because they make drivers run a lot at night with airport loads. I'm not sure how true that is though.

I read reviews about the driver facing cameras being overly sensitive and having a live mic with them. I don’t mind the dash cams, but the driver facing ones bother me. I keep going back and forth between whether or not I can tolerate them, but at at Ozark I was reading that they will trigger constantly.

I kept going back and forth on them. But I keep getting conflicting information. You seem to either get miles or you don’t. And you love them or hate them. I read where people were talking about them micromanaging your clock and that was the big one that made me kind of push them aside.

I honestly really battled with marten because it’s good pay and the bad weather pay is nice. Plus the options to do regional/Canada/otr.

I really want to just stick with whoever I go with next until I come off the truck. I’ve been burned a few times earlier in my career, so I’m a little nervous with the whole thing if that makes sense.

Hell if you were considering Marten @mjd4277 has been there a while. He would have given you the skinny

S&S has terminals in Grand Forks, Janesville, Wisconsin and Anniston, AL.

You’d definitely find yourself at one if not all of them on the same trip. GF is the primary place they put the Canada loads together, it’s usually straight in and straight out.

Walmart. You’ll be home 5 or 6 days the longest. Depends on what you get. Definitely regional. Always home when it’s time. Paychecks are consistent, not all over the place.

I've heard you have to live near a terminal that's hiring with them. I don't think there are any of them hiring anywhere near me. I did consider them because I heard they make good money and their drivers seem happy.

You being near Knoxville, you probably would've had to go to the London, KY DC. My friend was working there til he got sick, down that the Brundidge, AL DC. He has to commute 3 hrs to get there off of home time. That can be sucky especially trying to get home after running all day
