Asking the group for help in pointing me in the right direction here.
I need a 13,15 or 18 Speed rebuilt or new Trans to replace one that is shelled internally.
Had a cooling line failure that was not not caught until to it was to late.
The one that's in it is a RTLO-16913A but I'm sure the truck has been turned up too.
Engine is an ISX Cummins and the truck is a 387 Pete not that any of that matters.
Please point me in the right direction.
Tnx Jim

Inland truck has good prices. We use FT Worth gear for the last 20 years. Another mechanic in town has said he uses TNT and that there prices are really good and no troubles yet with them.
-
I don't have any info for the TNT though.

You can only do a trade for the exact same trans. If you want to change to a different model or upgrade it will be much more expensive.
Weller sells the best rebuilt transmissions on the market. They don't replace just what needs replacing, they replace everything.

I use Domar in Toronto, ON. He told me $5,000 to trade my working 15 for a rebuilt 13 this past summer.
-
Trans shops will work with you sometimes. We just used a meritor as a core for an eaton.

I lunched my Eaton Direct 10 last year. It was $4,000 more to upgrade to a 13 speed. It cost me $6,000 total to replace my trans with a Weller.

Thanks guys. Keep the suggestions coming.
What about cost to pull and reinstall a transmission?
I think these guys are trying to rip me off here.
Very Helpful so far
