Are there any companies that send non CDL students through their training facilities to obtain CDL? I have an agg. Burglary going on 10 years old and a weapon and drug possession going on 10 years as well.

So a quick update guys I’ve had my CDL’s for 5 months now. I left my first company after 3 months. Turns out they were taking advantage of my ignorance to the nuisances of Hours of Service. Turns out I was constantly in violation. Luckily I never got pulled over and my logs inspected. However I switched companies and now I work for Sysco. I’m still local and making more money now than I even planned on making. Here’sa one week gross check stub. I’m living the dream y’all. 17D23D13-99BF-418E-8E66-44F5FB51E6B1.jpeg

Congratulations on the life changes as a whole. Overcoming a criminal history is a huge block many do not get over and end up as lifelong criminals. Great job on setting and meeting realistic goals and getting into a career that can lead to both financial freedom and stability. Part of the reason recidivism is so high is because felons can have a difficult time finding work that pays the bills. You are an example of how we should work and strive to get people out of jail and into jobs once the debt to society is paid. You are also setting an example for others with a criminal history to follow. Keep it up and not only will you see your past as the past so will others. Best of luck to you now and in your future endeavors.

Captain Leonidas and Chinatown Thank this.
