Try USPS. We are the largest employer of military vets. Normally you need 2 years experience, but I think they give special preference to vets.

When I retired from the USAF a long time ago I Started with Millis Transfer they run thru TN a lot. Got little over a year OTR and moved on to bigger and better things but was a good place to start, decent miles and nice equipment.

I ETS'ed from the Army and went with Melton. They're a mini mega with a 1,000 trucks. I didn't have to spend 8-12 weeks with a trainer. 3.5 weeks my trainer gave the okay and they never questioned it. I was always treated fair and saw 48 states and able to use my GI BILL to supplement my income. Do you have a preference for flatbed, Van, reefer, or tanker? Do you want to be home every weekend? -

Try Bulkmatic in Hopkinsville. They usually require experience, but a recent post driver said Bulkmatic hired him right out of school. Don't know which terminal that was though. -
But you might want to visit this tread, entitled, Military Veterans. Some good articles gets posted on it.
Thanks for serving in our Military Services.

Well gentleman thanks for all the advice, I start with System Transport on Jan 4th. From all my reading it sounds like a good flatbed carrier.
Chinatown Thanks this.
