Looking for an RGN that weighs around 15,000 lbs.

Sorry about bringing up the bad memories.....

 

So what were the specs of that truck and what did something like that cost at the time?

 

My 359 was a day cab, transfer dump chassis. 8V-92, RTO-12513, DS400P’s, Reyco 102, HD alum frame, 224”, Classic interior. $52,000.00 total. At that time there was no 12% excise tax. Then I went thru Fruehauf and got their trailer chassis with 15’ Likens boxes for $25,000.

 

HA! No bad memories Ron (well, unless you want to consider that was the start to my lifetime in this industry....HA!)

 

I would think the 8v92 would be enough to give you nightmares.

 

Actually that 92 was trouble free for the 5 years that I had it. I had the air shut down solenoid fail once and the Delco alternator failed about two years old. That was about it. I did take care of it, ran the overheads every 75,000, oil/filters at 12,000. The second owner ran it another 100,000 and dropped a valve. He was talked in to dropping a Cummins in then.
