As stated im looking for anything at least temporarily, my current choice companies aren't hiring right now (IRT isn't hiring because I have 2 tickets so gotta wait a few months so it drops off and EW Wiley said they demanded a year at previous carrier)
Can't find any work currently, every Mega and florida based company has told me no
No accidents, 2 tickets, no sap/dui
5 companies in 3 years 8 months (2 years were at the same company
I have food grade tanker experience and am open to flatbed and dry van as well
Looking for:
No driver cams, no uniforms, no local/daycab and preferably 60cpm or higher and bare minimum $1200 a week
Pretty much called everyone im aware of and been told no or lied to
Companies ive already tried to apply to or worked for:
CFI, Big G, Marten, WEL, CR England, Swift, Knight, KLLM, K&B, Kennesaw, May Trucking, Red Stag, Carry, Western Dairy Transport, CRST, Werner, Warren, FCC(fremont), Sunstate Carriers, Cypress Truck lines, Gypsum, Prime, Hirschbach, ABCO, Paschall, Oakley, Heartland Express, Boyd Bros, Hogan, DMT, H&M, Mcelroy, TMC, ATS, PGT, Melton, FreyMiller, Wapole, Whiteline, Robert Bearden, HR Ewell, DB Schenker, Sunland Distribution, Rowland, Venezia, Foodliner, Covenant, MVT(Mesilla Valley), Rohel, Hellbent Express (only hires SD), Bottomley(only hires SC), Combined transport/blackwell (only hires western US), KAG, Heyl, Crete/Shaffer
Pretty much at a loss looking for anything, no money to go get my hazmat, im tempted to just work for western express and try to skimp on time and lay around the job til something else real hires or I get a year with carrier so I can go to EW Wiley
I dont wanna go to Western Express bc I know they dont have APU/AC/Heat in the truck and I aint trying to be a slave working for free and be miserable and I know it'll hurt my work history with them even being on there
Any other options? No company wants to hire a central Florida driver/Tampa area, im not even worried about hometime I'll probably stay out at whatever my next place is til I quit even up to a year like I had to do most of 2024
Im currently looking at National carriers, Big M, Total Transport and HMD but im expecting a no back with my luck
All I know is its gotta be an OTR position I cant take local whatsoever and I wont team with someone I dont know(all 4 of my team driver choices aren't leaving their job currently)
Any advice? Im tempted to just get out of the industry at this point, theres no good work and what work there is has no miles
Don't really wanna get out of trucking, got into it because my other career fields/certifications didnt get me work and now even trucking has dried up
Looking for anything right now temporarily
