Looking for anything right now temporarily

If you think you can’t stand out against other drivers competing for a job just wait until you have a truck and most of the people you’ll talk to are only concerned about price.

I sort of feel bad for the general outlook you have for life. If you feel it’s not possible to make yourself look better than other drivers you will be stuck applying to the same jobs you’ve been trying for. Truth is the job you think you want will come from a carrier who doesn’t advertise for help.

The company job I had for ten years had a waiting list when I applied to work there. With the exception of one company everyone I worked with as an owner operator came from connections with company’s who didn’t advertise. The job I have now after selling my truck was because of the reputation I had for how I took care of my own truck. I can promise we aren’t competing for the same jobs.

 

You wait until you are officially rejected by one company before applying at another company? Did you apply to ANY employer today? There's literally not one business in your part of Florida you haven't already applied for work? What part of California did you come from?

@FredTheBasset and @Sapphire_Glitter should go in together as team drivers. I bet they could get almost out of a parking lot before something bad happens. But it wouldn't matter, because neither one would be at fault. Sapphire wouldn't be getting paid enough and Fred would blame the school for him not passing his driving test.

 

It's a shame seeing a thirsty horse standing next to a creek with its nose in the air.
