I made it up. I wanted to see the excuse the OP would come up with on why they couldn't take that dream job.

That's a great example of hating the world. Nobody controls their start in life but everyone from a hobo to a business owner can control his actions and thoughts if he chooses. Having good reasons to hate doesn't make hating productive, useful, or healthy. Please understand an employer is not your father. Parents are supposed to provide for and protect their children. The fact one particular father does not do that for a particular child does not obligate anyone else to do that, although good people can and should try to do that as best as they can. I think you are in a psychological jail where you are expecting or demanding a job you take will behave as a good parent would behave. I think you are on a path that will cause you to choose crime, homelessness, and that will/or already has lead to drugs which makes the whole process accelerate in a downward spiral. If you deserve better, how is working to get worse and improvement? Some people would rather be king of a half-full sewer pipe than a clerk in a palace. That's not winning anything. Nobody but you is punished by that.

IF thinking like your statement above could be shown to lead to very bad outcomes for you would you consider changing what you think? I understand your thinking may feel normal to you and some others. And I understand you don't think it will lead to bad outcomes. I am asking not about what you believe right now. I am asking if thinking like that can be shown to lead to bad outcomes would you change your beliefs or just ride them into the bad outcomes. Your life sounds much harder than mine. There are people with much harder childhoods than your. Not everyone with a hard childhood winds up with the same results in life. Some people use that start to get better and some use the start as an excuse to get worse. Make good choices, get better results, or don't. You are closer to a better future right now than you will be with a longer period of unemployment, a more bitter attitude, and worse habits in a few months or years. Who's fault will that additional hardship be if you choose to avoid good choices? Did the employers YOU rejected also cause that additional hardship, or did you make it happen? Make good choices. A ghetto attitude will produce no more than ghetto results. I've been poor and not at all poor. It's not about money, it's about choices.

 

You are CHOOSING to think "I cant move out there because taking the risk means you'll get ####ed every time".

There's not much money in the US if you don't work compared to a job. That applies most places. We didn't all go to work because we are in love with it and we had no problems. We worked because we wanted to live indoors and eat regularly and overcame our problems. You have a wrong idea that having a house means dropping the purchase price in cash into someone's hand. Almost nobody in a hundred years got a house that way. Only 1/3 of homes do not have a mortgage. You're putting yourself in a position, with employment gaps and no regular and documented income, that almost nobody COULD buy a home. You are sabotaging you and blaming employers, and politicians I'm sure. Countries tried to work the way you want and they collapsed. Your idea is not working anywhere on earth. Your idea cannot work, no matter who runs it, even if they do it perfectly. So you are walking or running away from what works and chasing an idea that has failed everywhere and will fail everywhere.

 

I think she doesn't want to get up before 8 am, and wants to sleep in on Saturdays. I'm sure the French Foreign Legion has a private suite waiting for her.
