Hi there - I'm "Joe Public" and have been searching all over the internet trying to find what truck freight companies have terminals in the upper part of Maine. Then I stumbled across this forum and figured, hey - I can ask the dudes that drive these rigs for a living - who else would be better able to tell me.
Here's the deal - I am getting some woodworking machines shipped from the manufacturer's warehouse in TN as close to the Canadian / Maine border as possible, where there is a freight company depot that I can have them delivered to and kept inside, safe and sound until I can come across from Canada with my friend's pickup truck and trailer and pick them up. Then I'll bring them back myself clearing customs, paying duties etc. myself at the border when I enter Canada.
So far I have come up with Estes Express in Lewiston, and Yellow in Waterville but that's it. Thats about 3 hours from the border and I'd really like to get something closer if possible.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks !
Lewis

Try Sergent's out of Maine and N.B could be spelled Sergent
Also I think some of the Border Broker's could store it like livingston or ups -
ok - thanks. I think the fellows may have already shipped them via Estes but will check and see. Thanks anyway. -
Maine is like another separate country when it comes to trucking.. Maine is a state that basically only deals with local companies within the state.. Another words the companies head quarters need to be in Maine..
