I know for a fact he didn't engine dyno it with those results. As far as being able to afford one, I've already built 2 700+hp 12.7s and one 925hp 14L. I've got a shelf full of turbos, cams, injectors, ecms, and lots of other parts I've experimented with. I've got a laptop with DDDL, DRS and DCT as well as programs for almost every other engine manufacturer. When I get bored, I work on making my trucks pull. I don't just listen to other people talk at a truck stop and believe whatever they say, I do my own research, I do my own work and I pay for it all myself. I don't claim to know everything about the series 60 but I know enough to know what it's capable.

You should know then that it is possible to have different torque ratings for same HP level, all just depends on the mapping.

Do you know for sure that he isn’t running a modified version of that file that does increase torque?

    Oxbow Thanks this.

You could write a program that has crazy torque and then cuts back before it starts building insane horsepower but who would do that? You'd take all the horsepower you can get so why dial it back at the top? Do you know how easy it is to take a calculator and go "lets see, I'm supposed to have 725hp which is 45% more than the stock 500. 45% more torque than 1650 is 2392. Round that up to 2400 and that's what I'll tell everyone I have".

Pretty simple, application requirements. I can show you 700hp C18 truck engines that make less torque than C16 truck engines.

I can also show you C16 engines that one makes 60 more HP than another but makes 190ft-lbs more torque.

It really is all about mapping.

Show me a 725hp/2400tq series 60. It's not impossible but I'll bet you can't find one because no one is going to waste their time with that
