The companies that do allow pets on board will also have a insurance fee ($300ish) just in case the little critter tears up the inside of the truck and also to pay for the cleaning when they decide to sell it. Do Schneider allow pets? It's the one of the few companies with a school that I can't remember their policy.

where do you get this stuff.

I have delivered to military posts both after gulf war I and after 9/11.

    You are rich......

They don't go ruffling through your cabs.

Hell, I even was deployed on border security with the US Army working with US Customs and we did all we could to avoid going into a cab unless the driver/occupant was a real douchebag and was basically asking for it.

Z28 - have you ever had a dog? You can't just leave them for six months, silly boy. :biggrin_2552: They are like children. They need their mommy and daddy.

Thank you MN driver. This trucking thing is like everything else...everyone's got an opinion. Ask three people, get three answers.

Flatbed, Thank you. I DID ask and I appreciate your responses. You are giving me alot to think about. I never considered someone wanting to get up in the cab.

I dont know of any that have their own school and allow pets..

But there are several companies that will you have a pet after you get your own truck and pay a deposit and weekly fee...

ConWay-Truckload is the closet thing to what your asking that I know of.. US Xpress would be the next ... Sorry can't help anymore than that .. these I have found threw my own research ...

Schnieder = No Pets, I believe...

Some companies will let you have a pet if your running H/W teams, but not solo.... The Pet policys vary greatly from company to company .

Marlboro, some docks on the Houston Coast. They searched my truck fully armed.
The issue is the dog. What are you going to do if the truck breaks down? Your dog will be inside. No air. Stuff happens. Where are you going to keep the dog while they are working on your "Always broke down truck". Allot of motels don't allow them. Do you have an Ant Farm? :biggrin_25519:

dixiechick.and you are from washington state.i love it.anyhoo,i am of the firm belief that one should NEVER sign your life over to some company to train you and then you drive for them for X amount of time.it equates indentured servant imho.attend some state run facility and be debt free upon entering the world of driving.NO STRINGS ATTACHED basically.you will be miles ahead monetarily speaking.

i have a very good female friend that actually takes all 5 of her dogs on the road w/her.yes they are small.yes her truck is always immaculate.she evens cooks in her truck.she runs plenty of miles.personally,i am only gone during the week but my 3 dogs are my kids so i have them looked after by a neighbor.i could not bring one without bringing all so they stay home.

so anyway.best of luck in your endeavors dixiechick from up north-

i have two dogs a lab and bloodhound the lab rides every day with me i run out and back from the port and home every night on days when im going somewhere where i know pets are not allowed poochie stays home. i am an owner op so theres no company that can tell me i cant have a pet i own my truck got the title in the safe dep box at the bank. its a little different when you are a lease op or co driver you still gotta go by there rules. leave the dog with a friend or family if at all poss for the first 6 mo. driving a truck is serious bisness and you do not need the distraction for your safety and the motoring publics safety. once you get in a truck and start training you will then see what i am saying.
