Hello
So as the title says, I need a driver and a tractor trailor so I can book my road test. I have never found anything so difficult to do.
I live in Lexington, Ky.
I will pay your fee to cover all expenses and make it a non loosing (profitable) endeaver.
So a bit of history so you know who you are dealing with
I am 62 years old and had my license for many years. I went to renew my CDL at the DMV a few years ago. All was good until I went back last year for another renewal and the DMV clerk informed my that it was only a G and not an A license. Even when she checked the record it was listed as a G license. My gut turned like a broken washing machine!
I usually double check details but this one got away from me.
They are making me go through the whole ordeal again.
Please contact me if anyone can help
Looking for driver & semi to finish my road test/Kentucky

Your best bet is to contact a CDL school in your state and see if you can pay them to test out.
For an O/O to do it “by the book” would be an insane amount of time, money and regulations to deal with..Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Can’t help you, but IMO you wrote an excellent opening post. Very well done.
SoulScream84, Another Canadian driver, JolliRoger and 1 other person Thank this. -
Had a similar situation. I was at MPI (Manitoba Public insurance) to get my German motor cycle license transferred and added to the existing license.
I do wear glasses but they are not required on the existing license.
She went through the process, asked some questions and if I had to wear glasses while driving.
I said no.
She looked at her screen and insisted I had to wear glasses while driving, that's what the computer said.
She checked my driver's license card and found there is no requirement.
"Maybe it was me entering it wrong", she said.
That's how easy things can go wrong.Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
I've posted my email if you would be so kind to contact me to move my goals along
Thank You!Last edited: Feb 5, 2022

Where is your school and what do you think your cost would be?
"sorry for the double post, I thought I was replying via IM"
I need 5 more posts before I can use IMAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
As mentioned
Call a few schools and see what they do?
Some maybe have trucks for just that sort of thing
Or call the dmv and ask
When I took mine there was an actual company that had like 7 trucks at the time
He left one right at the dmv at several locations and you could rent it for the test
This was years ago but assume he still does it and has maybe grown??Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -

Another Canadian driver and GYPSY65 Thank this. -
Look for schools and or carriers that are "third party testers" and have "third party examiners" on staff. They will usually rent their equipment by the hour and offer basic coaching / mentoring... for a price. But logistically and financially you will be better off
