We are thinking of making a change since Crete has this messed up point system that is not helping the above average driver who seems to get excellent DOT inspections including his logs and still gets points against him...grrrrrrr so anyway I need to know more details about Raven trucking out of Jacksonville, FL. so if you have the inside scoop let me know!!
Thanks

I'm also looking into joing Raven out of Greensboro NC. I havent heard a negative comment about them from ANY driver. I wonder if they can really be this good of a company.
-
I too am looking for some inside info on Raven, any drivers care to elaborate on this company? Thanks
-
I can't offer an "inside scoop" except to say that a friend of mine who is a former Crete employee now works for Raven and has nothing but good things to say about them. I currently have an application in with them and the fleet manager with whom I spoke seemed upfront and honest. New applicants generally have a waiting period before they are hired. All of their trucks are, generally, filled. They do not have a recruiting department, per se. These all seem to be the hallmarks of a good company.

my cousin was a mechanic there before becoming a cop and he said nothing but good things about them, and they are supposed to be meticulous about the maintenance on there equipment.hope this helps

do you kno if they hire outta FL state ...???***looking for a good company***

When to there site, need 2 years exp. Also must lease 24 years old and older.Seems most runs they do is all eastern states. And they dont take students.

I'm not a recruiter, but I really do have to say Raven is indeed a really good company!! when I drove for them, they took care of the drivers, the dispatchers knew every driver on their board by name! they knew your spouses' names etc... They have a very family oriented environment, theFM's as some like to refer to them, when I was there were all former drivers with at least 5 yrs road exp. The safety supv. also holds a cdl and is an experienced driver and mechanic(diesel) and the recruiter(s) are also experienced road drivers! They don't typically publish any recruiting ads as they don't have a very high turnover rate, their trucks are usually full and they are usually only hiring as they add new trucks to the fleet and yes they take excellent care of their equipment!! I could go on and on but yes they are really good!!!
