Hey freight haulers. I've been running under my own authority with a 53' Reefer and a Freightliner and a Pete for two years. Never made a dime. Dumped the trailer, sold the truck. Got rid of the authority, and the 11 grand a year insurance policy. Still have my LLC.

I'm looking to haul with my 2011 Duramax for someone. I have hauled flat bed and ran hot shot for a local broker with this truck, but he gave me just enough freight to keep me broke. Owned a 30 foot gooseneck, had to sell it to pay bills because of that guy. I can tarp, strap, etc.

Do you people know of a broker that is honest, and needs freight moved? I'm based in Wisconsin, I play semi pro football here. I can buy a trailer after a few months, but as of now all I have left is the truck and a hideaway ball in the bed...lol.

    Hope you can help.

So you went broke trucking and yet you still wanna truck. But instead of having a plan you come here? Maybe this is why your first venture failed. Business plan it's pretty simple. Two reefers running you should of been fine.

Or you took to much cheap freight Which you'll do the same with your pickup.

A great business man who is a medicore trucker has a much greater chance to succeed than a gifted trucker who is a lousy business man!

Actually I interviewed over 60 drivers and I had freight for 4 trucks. Unfortunately the insurance industry has created our lovely driver shortage. The only guys I could insure wanted 3 grand a week...lol. I had a pretty great business plan actually, with a great financial forecast. But paying an additional $7500-$9500 per month to insure and pay a driver isn't in anyone's budget. I ran a successful machine shop before this, but 2009 happened.

And lol to cheap freight, of course it's cheap. That's where the big three want it.

So can you answer any of my questions, or are you just a tropical troll?

Truth be told, you need an honest broker. With real freight. That's what I'm looking for.

You need to work with multiple brokers, the ones that pay decent. Not easy to find but they do exist.

So your other question was, that you're looking for a trailer to pull behind you're duramax? We buy a lot of trailers from these guys. www.thetrailerguys.com

Here's the thing though, you don't want just any trailer. The type of trailer you pull, the weight of it, and the length of it can make or break you.
