Maybe u can get in contact with x1heavy . he will tell u stories about doing 140mph in a cabover across i80 hauling coils with 20 chains and 40 straps over the top of them.. No joke. Those are real stories.

 

Well, I'm preparing for bed. But I'll tell you, the Gateway Travel Center in East St. Louis used to really be something. They had a burger joint in there that was shockingly good. It was really decent.

And then Pilot took it over, put in a Taco Bell, and made it like every other truck stop in existence.

My experiences in that state ( And I've had plenty) Illinois roads are filled with pot holes .. littered with Toll booths & filled with the most in considerate self titled drivers
Nothing good has ever come from that state

 

I'm not sure what that state even looks like. I make it a point to drive through it at night.
