Hi all. I am fairly new to driving, about a year now and have been getting by with the garmin nuvi 255 that my wife bought me several years ago. a few weeks ago I picked up the 560 but returned it less than a week later. The reason? MY nuvi shows me the exit numbers of interstates and major roads but I couldn't see any way to display this info on the 560. I use the exit numbers quit often when I am looking to park for the night. Is there some way to get the 560 to show this info or is there an update available that will do this? The time I had it I ran both units and the differences in routes was visible but I need to see exit numbers.

    Thanks, -Ed-

The DEZL 560 does display the next exit when on interstates or the next cross road when off the interstate. When navigating a route, the device shows the next way-point/ turn. It will not both the next exit/cross street and way-point at the same time. The information is displayed on the top of the map page. Something else also, the 560 has a really decent exit guide that shows you what is available at the next several exits at a distance of about 20 miles I think. There have been a series of upgrades although I am not familiar with the most recent or what all it entailed.

One thing and I cannot stress this enough- you must-repeat must- set the 560 up properly for your truck or you will get ratty results which will lead you into trouble if you're not paying attention (and actually that is the same for any brand of truck specific PND). I am using the DEZL760 which is very similar to the 560 with the exception that it is a 7 inch screen and the software is a little more advanced over the 560 in function. Too bad you took it back before you got a reply here.

A fellow driver has a DEZL 560 and can't stand it has offered it to me very cheap, I do not expect you to type the entire operators manual but can you post a link to the "proper" set up your talking about please? If I can make it work I'll probably buy it. Also is it possible to get my "favorites" off my PC Miler onto the DEZL?

Thanks for the response k7tkr, but I guess I was a little vague on what I was asking. The Nuvi255 displays all of the exit numbers. For example, I can be in Elizabeth NJ and look for the exit number I need to get off the I-80 for Lewisburg Pa. I couldn't figure out how to do that with the 560. If someone does have an answer for this I would sure appreciate a response.

    Thanks. -Ed
