Chances are that if TMC says that he quit even if it was their fault .... they put that on the DAC .... there is never any rhyme or reason as to why places do what they do

Best thing is to get a copy of it and see who said what .... and if TMC has that in there then appeal it and contact TMC about it and have them correct it

The one that said he couldnt work for them probably didnt pass along to the others in the office that he was diqualified by their standards and the others took it as he walked away from the training ... therefore being fired

Well we got that situation handled. We contacted our PPL Attorney, had them write TMC a letter stating they need to take it off or further action will be taken. We got a reply from TMC that they would take it off his DAC but would not offer an apology (one thing my husband requested to get). So, with that said, now its just waiting to give time for it to come off and then get another copy to make sure they stick to their word. In the meantime during all this my husband did get a job with Crete and is happy so far.

Update on MAV IC. My husband is now in the IC program. He got his truck Dec 08. Has been tough. Lost all insurance, COBRA cost is insane, but we must have it. I have severe health conditions. No one will touch us because of me; I have severe COPD and am on oxygen. Our insurance costs are $950.00 each month. We also have to put money aside for taxes, etc. All would be well and good, even in this slow economy, however, be warned that if there is a personality conflict with your fleet manager, you will find yourself with no money loads or no loads nearly ALL the time. DO NOT dare to complain to anyone at the company. You will find things will NOT improve. It is one thing to put someones thumbs in a vise, it is just plain mean and nasty to do it knowing it is affecting the drivers family that is in a bad way. I just wanted to warn those interested in IC. You may like the truck, you may even be able to pay all the expenses and have some cash to meet your budget needs, however, if you butt heads with your fleet manager, it will destroy your dream.

Thats why you dont lease from a company that handles your freight. If they pull that {we dont have freight} you can tell them you will find a company that can. Just my two cents worth.

Can't change to another company at this time, locked into a 4 year lease. Otherwise, to take freight from a board, would have to pay Mav a fee and get approval prior. Were told not likely to happen. Have been thinking of getting own DOT number after 4 yr is up if we survive. However, I understand that the paperwork is huge, fuel tax for each state, all the insurance, finding a board that screens the loads so that you are sure to get paid when you drop, etc. Still milling it around. :biggrin_25511:

Are you FLEECE purchase with Mav?

Or just leasing to them for the rights to haul their freight with their authority????

If its the later there should be no penalty for canceling a lease.
