go to pumpkin driver dot com and browse through the forums, especially the tanker drivers forum. Lot of good, first-hand info there. I looked into that some time back but came to the conclusion their tank division days are numbered but I could be totally wrong. Many of their tank tractors look like they've been rode hard and put up wet.

After a nice several months learning the "trucking ropes,: I have graduated & now have an offer to start tanker school on Dec 8th at Corroapolis, PA w/ SNI. I am excited but do not know what to expect partially because Pumpkin Driver, com won't approve me. However. I'll get after it in the morning again.

I just like my proximity to the Paulsboro yard for the commute. Maybe some one could tell me which real tanker division to join cause the thought of dragginng a box behind the truck isn't my thing.

Most tank carriers require at lest a year driving experience . I think Superior Carriers will accept a student that was among the top graduates of the CDL course .You might search the archives here . That info is there .
