I hear from them today. I'll be on the phone with them first thing tomorrow morning to schedule my drug test/physical/driving test. He said once my drug test comes back, and no issues with driving or physical, they will make me an offer. Said finished with my background checks and everything came back good.Longarm Thanks this. -

Hey I got a question that's prudent to my current situation. If you have a repair that can't be done over the weekend, does Penske put you in a loaner for the week?

Thank you Longarm.
Yes, Penske will put you in a rental if any repair prevents you from leaving for a run.

Longarm,
I originally submitted my application during the week of January 18th. Scheduled my interview for January 25th. Interviewed on that date. Got a call back for road test, drug screen, and physical, on February 8th. Completed all three on February 10th.
We are waiting on the drug screen results. Once they are back, I was told they will call and offer me the position.Longarm Thanks this. -
Sprinks,
I was told during my interview that I will ride with a trainer for 2 weeks, which isn't an issue at all.
Yesterday, the gentleman that took me for the road test explained to me that he doesn't see how I will make it living so far away...I guess due to the slip seating. Noone has mentioned the domicile or nondomicile options. I was originally under the impression that after the 2 weeks with the trainer, I will jump in a truck on Monday and work my week. When I returned I'd move out of the truck and then get into another truck the following week.
He also said that it would probably be a year before I was assigned a truck, which isn't a problem.
I'm just confused. Guess when I'm offered the position, I'll ask the tough questions so I'll know what to expect. What can't happen is if I run out and back for two days, get to the yard and have to move out on a Tuesday night when there will be no available truck until Wednesday morning. This would mean I would need to drive 2.5 hours home for a few hours sleep and then 2.5 hours back to work the following day....otherwise I'll need to pay for a hotel room.
We shall see! -
Best of luck,
Sprinks
