Thanks bro .....I'll have to take a look at walmarts package , anything will beat the heck out of building more auto frt trucking companies that end up out of business or turn into a garbage outfit that nobody can stomach working for

I've never been for or against unions .....i see both sides of the coin ,but with the cost of healthcare ,cost of living and the fact i see my career is being destroyed ,it's time to find higher ground .....i know LTL is well kept secret

LTL is a great choice and UPSF is very good as well. I just wanted to throw something else out there because no one really mentions this but have you considered maybe a Air Products, Linde, or Praxair. They are all union with good benefits and pension. You won't be working the dock with Cryogenic hauling. Best of all these companies are not going out of business at all. Just figured with all the experience you have it would certainly not hurt to give them a shot as well.

That terminal is Freight side of UPS. Heres the deal with them, you start out fairly low on the pay scale, if you can hang in there for the 3 years to top out you'll be golden. The new contract isn't the best in the world but I haven't seen any LTL company making what we do. PM me if you have any questions

...thanks hammer , there seems to be alot of messed up contracts , at all the LTL carriers , talked to Holland drivers& YRC drivers and i keep hearing about this , so i take it we are still under concessions from the great recession of 08 ? .....that's what the Chrysler drivers are saying about their two tear contract

I wouldn't say we got a messed up contract per say but it could have been on par with the Package side of the house. 70 some odd cents per mile by the end of it isn't too shabby.
