I am looking for jobs that will accept me as a new driver with 2 accidents & 3 moving violations. 2 of the moving violations are failure to obey sign or traffic control device on 07/2021 & 09/2022. The 09/2022 violation happened while I was in possession of my CDL. I also have a speeding violation from 05/2020 for doing 79mph in a 50mph posted zone. I also have 2 no fault accidents while in possession of my CDL with video evidence to back up my claims.
I am 25 years old residing in the Bronx and do have experience driving a small commercial cargo van (Mercedes Metris & Nissan NV200) around the Bronx, Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens doing field work at my current job. I've had my CDL for a year now but have not used it. I am interested in anything, because of my past record I don't think I have much say in options especially with no experience. I do not mind OTR and have applied to a few jobs on indeed and Western Express. I also applied for a CDL B garbage company in which I had an interview last week and expect to hear from this by this Friday if they are interested. I have reliable personal transportation if I need to travel for local or regional gigs. Thank you.
Looking for jobs with no experience, 2 accidents and 3 moving violations in Tri-State Region.

Your best chance of a cdl job is on Craigslist or Facebook. Both websites have trucker pages and can find a job there.
Probably some decent OTR jobs on Craigslist and Facebook. Make dozens of phone calls and leave dozens of phone messages. If a phone call says "NO", then apply anyway online.Last edited: Aug 22, 2023

@DynamicDiscipline
That 29 over is gonna follow you for a bit.
It’s termed reckless speed i think, and could make you untouchable due to insurance.
Hope one of the more knowledgeable guys can chime in and offer guidance.
