I don't think the Mirage would work very well with the General Lee!! I use an old brown face Mirage ( when they were manufactured in California ) for 2M weak signal work.

No it would not and your amp preamp would kick mine into the next state ....

The new ones are junk ....:biggrin_25513:

Still at 150 watts and run the tampabay SSB net ( 144.210 ) no one has a problem hearing me ....

With the General Lee, I would go with the Texas Star 500V...Gen.Lee is going to be a little too much drive for the TS 350...

As for not wanting to know all the "Technical Stuff"...Bit of advice, If your going to run "Power" you best know what your doing, or your asking for allot of headaches...

Hooking up a Amp is not any harder than hooking up the CB Radio...But getting everything properly adjusted and dialed in, is another story

Call X force amps off there web site. They will help you even if you don't buy from them. You are going to need a 4 pill for the higher dead key the general lee has.Make sure your SWRs are in check, the extra power will add to it some. It's also a good idea to run an in line meter so you can keep an eye on stuff. With power come responsibility and money.
