Hey everyone, I wanted to reach out and get some input on what people thought my next option should be on a job currently work for prime and I've been here almost a year. Basically what I plan on doing is that my one-year mark getting out and going somewhere else before they can get their dick out of their pants and give it to me if you know what I mean. I have my own truck at home that I would really love the lease on the someone, but from all the investigation and I've done that doesn't seem to be an option for one your driver. I have talked to Smith transportation in PA but then after looking at this site may be questioning that a little bit anybody have any ideas of a better place to go. Thanks as always. Thanks as always.

This ISN'T the year to lease a truck onto a company/begin to learn a new business model. Hang tight, wait for presidential elections to take place, see what direction fuel and economy moves in, then decide. My 2¢.

You mean somewhere as a company driver?
    Reefers, van, flatbed, tankers?

If you lease on, and I don't know that I agree with Straight Stacks about holding off because of current freight conditions, spring and summer are coming right along and more freight usually starts moving around this time. If you're thinking about it (I did pretty good with Conway/XPO now) it's all about the miles you run. If you're rolling down the highway you'll be earning income, it's really that simple. The rest? Lots of choices, but money management is a skill that's very important.

Just get cold chills, and angry all over again, thinking of some dispatcher/DM/FM calling me at home after 3 days off, "Got a load for you in the morning. Nope, you gotta run it or we'll have to let you go. You're not eligible for any more time off." Company driver? No thanks.

What's wrong with Prime assuming your truck qualifies? All sorts of opportunities and you should know how to play their game by now. Lots of worse places you could go.

Don't make having problems with Prime self fulfilling prophecy. Do your job and take care of their equipment. As far as your truck that you said was at home keep looking you might find a carrier that will lease it on. I would start with your current company.

As it is I'm looking for a job it is either reaper or van. It has to do with what was said earlier it's not a problem with My truck or getting loads or my dispatch it's more to do with internal policy issues. As it is with my own truck it's way too old for prime
