We deliver to the Tacoma and Seattle area regularly, along with Portland. Most of those loads run through Salt Lake. OTOH, we pull apples and produce out of Washington back east. I've run through Spokane and Yakima fairly often on the way out. Eastern Washington shouldn't be a problem for hometime. Florida is a problem.

Home time at Prime for the company guys works like this... you ask for hometime, giving your FM some notice. A range of dates works better than a specific hard date. The load planners and sales arrange a load that get's you home. You run the load, deliver, drop the trailer at a specified location so it can be reloaded. You bobtail home in the tractor. Reverse the process on the way out. Company guys accrue a home day for every 7 out. You can use 4 at once, not including the arrival and departure day, and they want you out 3 weeks between spells at home. You also get a week of paid vacation for every 125,000 dispatched miles starting after you are A-seat qualified.

Prime delivers to a Cold Storage place in Kennewick quite a bit, I know as about 10% of the time I was delivering to there when I was heading home to Nevada. I also would pick up Taters, Apples and Onions out of the area there, so freight is pretty good. Prime never had a problem deadheading me 250-300 miles to get me home either. You will be assigned to the SLC terminal BTW unless you ask otherwise. I purposely asked to be dispatched out of Springfield in order to get some long miles. I would leave home from Reno, head either to CA, OR, ID or WA to pick up a load an then haul it back east, then I would run in the mid west for a week or two then pick a load and head back west for home time. So in a nut shell you getting home should not be an issue. As far as just passing through home, I would not plan on it to much.
ChuckTaylor should be able to give you some good info also.
    Hope this helps you

This is one thread I will watch. I'm about 14k into my TnT and from Kennewick. Its good to hear that us westerners will be dispatched out of SLC, I was here in the terminal at Springfield a few weeks ago and heard that Prime doesn't have much freight into or out of the NW. I know that was a lie as I was seeing Prime trucks every day at the Finley truck stop.

When I was company, I would leave the house with awesome loads! I live in tacoma presently, and am lease. Still get awesome loads out of the
eastern part of washington! If we still had the oak harbor freight yard, that would be awesome with the loads goin to the house(safeway. costco, americold etc.)

Been droppin trailer at kennewick at that cold storage place and bob tailin it home......
