Looking for school and decent work with a speeding ticket less that 2 years old

I have a speeding ticket going 23 miles over the limit just under two years ago. I am looking for a company that will put me through CDL school but isn't shady. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Good luck. 15 over is reckless driving, regardless of the charge on your citation. Maybe someone will hire you in a couple of years.

 

Would you be interested in local driving work, some CDL and some non-CDL?

I am out here in Chattanooga Tennessee. I'm looking for something to hold over for a year and a half. A family member of mine drove for Maverick and I figure to do the same. If I can get my CDL in the mean time all the better. I just don't want to end up in a company that's more trouble then they're worth.

That's what I'm figuring. Sucks I told the company my circumstances left the state I was in to get a driver's license in a state they recognized to then be told they cant hire me for a year and a half haha.

Don't go to CDL school until you find the employer that will hire you with your background. Is your criminal record clean?

 

That speeding citation is going to be a problem for 3 to 5 years from date of conviction. Most people don’t realize it’s that date, not the day you were cited. You may have to look into a self pay type of school. Then look for something local for a while. All depends on when that citation comes off the record. That depends on your state and its laws. You should look into what class the charge and conviction is. Last, insurance companies will have to approve coverage ability. They see everything on your MVR from day one of having a license. Will I need to acquire a CDL for myself before hand. Next would I need to be in las Vegas.

I just moved here from Albuquerque nm.

 

The company I applied through told me to wait till the month I got the ticket then three years. Which lands it in 2026. You don't think they will walk that back when the time comes do you.
