I've had my CDL now for about five years and have driven many trucks (mostly for a farm). I am thinking of taking the dive and doing it full-time. The issue is that I make about $160k/yr as a software architect and am looking to match that as a truck driver. Which company pays that kind of wage?

:-( I am tired of the stress or a software architect, but don't want to suffer a big pay-cut.

There are a few trucking companies out there that pay that kind of wage. The problem is they only pay that wage to the company owner. Buy yourself a company, and you'll be all set. Working as a driver? Not going to happen. Ever.

If you don't want to take a HUGE pay cut, buy yourself some meditation tapes and some chinese stress balls and suck it up and stay where you are.
