Personally I wouldn’t buy a truck that high of mileage without a rebuild. Because like you said, you know it’s coming. Plus a lot of other smaller things are coming too. Also coming from a rental company, everyone who drove that truck didn’t care one bit about it.
I’d either spend a little more to get a one with less mileage and newer year model, or buy one with a rebuild WITH PAPERWORK from a reputable shop.
I like Freightliner Cascadia. That’s what I drive. Mine has 386,000 and has done very well. I’d buy another one.
