800,000 miles on an 11? Geez hope it's a WONDERFUL PRICE!
-
Yeah 800k miles is the "sweetspot" where you're paying the truck instead of the other way around. Got the t-shirt. They ought to have plenty of receipts or the price should be cheap.
Sent from my droid using Tapatalk 2bullhaulerswife Thanks this. -
Simple check ... look at the coolant reservoir with the engine cold ... it should be no more than half full. If it is to the max line, walk away ... unless in the near future you want to invest in a new EGR cooler - $3K - a new DPF filter - $2.4K - and a clean up of the entire DPF system - $1.3K.

Wow.No kidding.Must have have had 3 drivers instead of team.

270,000miles a year, that's a strong team truck. It sounds like a good candidate as you don't rack up those miles when it's always in the shop. It's due for some major service and repairs, if they haven't already been done, though.

Wow! I'd run not walk away from that one! What you don't pay in the price you will pay in repairs, they wore that one out and then left it on the side of the road. I would have to see all repairs and all maintenance records on that, They must have a revolving oil bath system for the engine, they would have time to even stop for a Oil change and lube. Good Luck, Keep us posted.

270k a year is a strong team truck indeed; we put 257k first year and we ran HARD
-
yeah I would ask for all service records, pay to get a mechanic to check it out after if your serious
but #### thats a ton of miles my truck would be an average of 107k a year but its a solo truck -
I think the general idea here is a firm no. Unless of course in the unlikely event that they are giving you the truck. And then you still have to consider the repairs it will need. Have they stopped the truck long enough to take a picture of it?
What was the price of this truck? We are all curious.
