Looking into getting into company paid training school.

You have to remember that being in a depressed economy and companies having their strings pulled by insurance dictates profits vs. performance and common sense. Your personal life is just that, personal. Let your performance dictate your career and once you're established tell them your intentions and if they fire you, then sue the pants off them under EEOC and discrimination laws. The biggest thing that you can do to help yourself is to keep this information close to the vest as it were. No one is really sure about the legalities involved with housing a male looking female with other men / women ... too many chances of there being someone insulted. To be clear, I personally applaud your courage and think you should go for it. Live as the person you want to be. Sex between trainees is generally a firing offense at any rate so the subject shouldn't come up if you're housed with females due to your ID or males because of you appearance. Just keep it to yourself and move on down the road. Don't ask don't tell sort of idea.

I went with Stevens when I started and I can promise you that funny business between trainees will get you fired if it's reported. You have the right to a career and I think that what happened to you is terrible. Good luck, hope to see you out there soon.
