Dude, total congratulations! I've watched while you went through some tough times with that truck, and we occasionally spar a bit. But the bottom line is you're doing well, and you deserve kudos for that.

    Now where's that pot o' gold?!!! :biggrin_2559:

    Thanks man.

I don't think the OP realizes the amount and value of the time you spend developing your business.

It's not about the truck, but the decisions of how to use it to the fullest of its potential.

That investment is huge. And if you are not willing to risk evrything, don't even start down that path.

If you can't do it, your not trying hard enough. I just love it when someone tells me I can't do something. I started in a truck that is not safe for farm use. 34 years ago. It got better.

    pot o gold. now that's funny. :biggrin_2559:

there is 1 program. but you gotta meet the qulifications. you don't dish out the greenback for repairs. (although if you did, you'd be ahead of the deal) but you still pay for the repairs. they just get added on to the deal. rapairs are paid by the company and added onto your note.

the less you break down. the sooner you pay off the note.

The majority of my repairs have been covered by Freightliner and Detroit Diesel without question.

most of us don't drive a brand new leased truck from a mega carrier.

It's hardly new at this point, and I don't think my carrier qualifies as a "mega." Large maybe.

How much did you start with? I'll probably have 2k in my pocket soon, and really want to quit this job.

I'm tired of running for companies where the dispatcher can't trip plan, and expects me to haggle with them to get the load into a safe and legal limit. I'm not very confrontational, and it just wears me out. Even if I make less at lease, it would be worth it just to get rid of the dispatcher.
