If you can't figure out your posting to 4yr old posts I'm not sure choosing your own loads is a good way to go.

""""owning your own is definitely not for u, even if ya win the lottery and can pay cash, don't do it.[/QUOTE]""""

By that you mean, even you could afford to buy your own truck, wouldn't buy it because still it's not a good business to start???

Calm down, Francis. You're acting like it's rocket science.

    Quick question
I'm leasing with another company controlling my own loads do I speak my business name talking to other brokers? Or with the company I'm leasing with dealing with loading board

You speak for the name that has the authority.

You're not leased on to yourself with your own authority.

You're leased on to someone else with their authority. Broker don't care about your business name what so ever.

    Amtrack,

if you go with the lease purchase route, get a brand new truck. Do not get a use truck since it will require a lot of maintenance and being that you do not have much money save up, your best bet is a new truck. The difference between a used truck and new truck is only $100 to $200 a week which can be made up with less downtime due to breakdowns. There are only two main reasons why most lease operator fails. Truck breakdown too often or no freight. With breakdowns, the repair bills is small compared to downtime. A truck sitting at a shop for 3 days might cost $1500 to fix, yet you may lose $3000 on loss income.
