Studying for the CDL and will pass before I go to driving school, but I need advice on best driving school and companies for a driver who wants to be based in DFW.
I can pay my own tuition, so looking for best school (good instructions, reputation, links to industry, etc....), not the cheapest deal.
As for companies, I get the drill for rookies. just want a company that has a DFW hub, treats drivers fairly and can give me the miles.

This driver is based out of the Dallas area.
@Chinatown -
Why does the company have to be based in Dallas/Ft. Worth? If you're concerned about hometime, don't be because each company has their own policy on that and where the headquarters is doesn't affect that.

Here's a few companies that hire new cdl grads in DFW. Some websites may indicate "experience required" but that's incorrect; all these hire new cdl grads and run coast to coast.
National Carriers
Britton Transport
Freymiller
Navajo Express
Dynamic Transit
Abilene Motor Express -
MCT Transportation has some type facility in Ft. Worth.
TransAm has a facility in Rockwall. -
Thanks for the info.... Just looking to make sure I'll be within an hour from home when I go off the clock, so a DFW hub makes that easier for me.
Chinatown Thanks this. -
Best wishes; keep us posted!

I would recommend Swift. The company I started with, got my one year and left. If I had to do it all over again, it would be Swift or Crete. Swift was fast and easy to get started with.
