I really appreciate the feedback. I'm trying to decide what to do. I've been in law enforcement for the last 10yrs and am ready to get out.

Yup. I enjoyed driving when I drove. Made decent money. Nowadays, law enforcement is a different world. Don't want to end up in prison because I had to defend myself doing my job. Besides, this isn't my only option I'm considering. I would enjoy doing it for a while again. Nothing like being on the open road.

I hear you... Crazy stuff happening out there...

What state are you located so that you can be pointed to companies? Are you seeking local home every night or looking to go OTR?

What type of equipment would you like Van, Flat, Tanker?

Yes very crazy stuff happening. I'd rather not get shot pumping gas because of the uniform I wear.

I live in the metro Atlanta area. I'm looking for anything that'll pay well. I've thought about flat or tanker. I drove van when I drove. I probably need something a little more labor intensive, don't want to gain weight sitting on my ### all day.

As mentioned in the past on the forum, getting onto a Dollar General or Dollar Tree account will keep you in shape. From my understanding, the driver needs to "fingerprint" or "handle" every piece of freight going off of the truck onto the loading docks. I believe that Swift is one company that has such an account.

God bless every American and their families! God bless the U.S.A.!

.Give rbx inc. a call, think they have a office in Macon. They have nice trucks, 40cpm. They would be first on my list.
