looking to get into the trucking

    Im 42, retired from the Army 3 years ago, realistically i knew what i was getting into, my recruiter didnt lie ( i promise he didnt)...i need to know realistically should i go with roehl or schneider? what kind of pay am i looking at the first year, not potientially...REALISTICALLY....by the way i really respect what you all do...oh ,,as a rookie should i do van, flatbed, my questions may seem a lil crazy, but im REALLY looking into going into the trucking field within a month...

    i'd pick Schneider. As for the wagon or skateboard question, that depends on your fitness and a few other things. As for finding a good fit, that depends on the individual. Working for the Great Punkin does give you choices to move about.... to Tankers, flats, vans and even some reefers

    oh yea money.... i dunno, maybe 35-40K or better been long time since i worked for a Training Wheel co

    +1 on Schneider. I got my start there and it was a good experience for the most part. If I remember right, I think I made around 38k my first year back in 03-04.
