Looking to get my foot in the door

I got off lucky that day, both from coming out of that with no injury and with the insurance company paying off my vehicle and for the cop not placing me at fault. Since then I have driven more careful especially after learning that an accident that is reported my fault could keep me from getting a job as a trucker for 3 years. I know it is harder not to have an accident in a big rig when cars like to squeeze into the safe spots you guys leave for yourselves in case something goes wrong. Just need to remember that day and make sure not to let it happen again.

Good idea trying to get a better job history. I know if i was a boss and someone came to with a history similar to to yours id pass. No sense in putting money and resources in someone who routinely switches jobs. I know you were in the temp agency stuff, but throwin my opinion out there.

After reading more of the board I have erased plan c since the cost of gas, insurance, taxes, fees, repairs, and ect. would have me working 7 days a week just to hit even. I got an interview set up for the 1 year contract at the Toyota assembly plant in San Antonio and hope to get it. Shouldn't have to wait for a reply since its the type of interview were to take a drug test right after and go to work the next day.

I already sent off online applications and received what I believe to be an auto response from Stevens saying thank you for applying and if you don't hear from us in 48 hours to please call our recruiting number. Don't even know if Swift's went through since after hitting submit, it sent me to a blank white page, CR England at least had a thank you for applying type of page after submitting it. The question I want to ask is will it be tough getting a job with no stable work history and with 1 accident on record which I got earlier this year? Now when it comes to work history, the only thing I have is temp work and that's 1 month here, then 2 months with this company and so on, just send to one job after another with no job lasting for more than 3 months. So now onto the accident part, I was told by the police when I got the accident that no one was at fault since it was deemed just that, an accident due to bad weather. A truck in front of me swerved to the shoulder to try and avoid hitting the car in front that came to a sudden stop and the only thing I could so was hit my breaks to have my wheels lock up and slide into the car in front. Big Rig to the right and truck on the shoulder to the left so not much to do but hit the brakes... Totaled my car since I was going the speed limit which was 65MPH and the car I hit that had slowed down due to traffic was already down to 40MPH. Neither of us got a ticket but I do not know if it will still show on my report so I simple come clean and say I was in a accident. From what I can remember there are two fields on the applications, for accidents that were your fault and accidents that were not.

So there you have it, a brief story of what my current condition is right now.

DONT WORRY SOMEONE WILL GIVE U A CHANCE.THATS NOT THE PROBLEM,ITS TRAINING U FROM SCRACH,AT BEING ONLY 21 WILL GIVE UP BEING OVER THE ROAD FOR WEEKS AT A TIME AND ALWAYS WANT TO GO BACK HOME,THATS THE PROBLEM!!!
