I have been driving for 2.5 years now all doing reefer getting bored with it. I was wondering if some current drivers could give me the real story about TMC. i currently have a friend that is there his experence has been very good we also live in two different areas. Any advise would be appreciated... Thanks!
Don't really know how truly good they are but for what I read and heard from drivers there you can make good money and do great. Training is 7 weeks @ $500 a week, but is divided in 2 weeks in Iowa learning flatbedding and than 5 weeks out with a trainer. At the end of first 2 weeks they give out a $250 bonus and at the end of the other 5 weeks also another $250 They also work by load percentage. Anywhere from 23% minimum from what they making on each individual load up to 32% if you meet bonuses and specific incentives. Am personally thinking to join them...
They give you the option to get paid cpm @ $0.48 avg but you'd be running around 2200 miles, so load percentage sounds more appealing to me. Also they have this thing that as a driver you are given private TMC company stocks.
yea if i do go over there i would plan on going on percentage i know my buddy had 2 weeks of training because he had driving experence but no flatbed was hoping to make the move when he was able to train me if they would allow that but i am thinking i may want to move sooner than that
