i'm 21 and im looking a companies that train as that is the only option i have right now.
My only problem is that my license is currently suspended because i failed to pay a surcharge on a ticket i got 4 years ago for driving without a license.
would any companies actually hire me or is this a deal-breaker.

It's not a deal breaker; there are companies that will hire you. You still must get your CDL permit and better yet get the CDL itself before applying to any company anyway. Depending on the state you live in, you might qualify for free CDL school through different grants or through the unemployment office or through Goodwill Industries. If all else fails, get the permit and apply with household movers as a helper.

Some of the oil field companies aren't too picky, but the feds are starting to crack down on them a little.

the very first thing you need to do is get you license reinstated by any means necessary. As u probably you may have a warrant for failure to pay fine. you need to call police department where the ticket is located set up date for court. go before the judge and plead your case. make it sound real good. if you don't have job most cities have a program where they pay $40-60 a day to work fine off. then all u would need the money for reinstated of license. you are 21 most companies want hire you till u are 22 or 23 years old by then it would be at least old. but if you be real nice to judge and prosecutor. u no tell them you was young and dumb you are trying to get your life straight now. if they can help you by not putting that charge on your license. tell them you are gonna sign up for truck driving school. basically KISS U NO WHAT!!!! to judge and prosecutor. you never no until you try just don't let them pick u up. U got time start NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! getting license straight. if that city see you are actually trying and want to get your life straight. and if u look genuine, couple tears want hurt. u might be surprised. you was under 18 when u got ticket. that is the only thing may help you. throw yoself on mercy of the court. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! GO GET OFF YO BUT AND GET LICENSE STRAIGHT!!!!!!!!!! and come on out here with us. we would be glad to have ya.

if you're near a major city,HHG agent will hire you, however it's slow season, but that'll give you plenty "practice time"
