I am not him , but I think you are worth more than that . I like you , seem to be a nice lady, and want to see you you do well . Has been a while since I checked their pay package . There are a lot of choices , no one is right for everyone. Question everything.Pameee Thanks this.

J_FROG Thanks this. -
funny how few that work(ed) there responded....ok it's not funny. My experience was negative, that was my first prehire in 97. i went to school through them and by the end i heard so many versions about pay, hometime and teaming from office employees, that i had my doubts. First day of orientation, we had 2 jerks that took delight in ridiculing the students about accents where they lived.... Apparently God only likes people from OKC right ? (that's funny.... ok it'ts not) i left at lunch and drove home. my first job was with swift...... But that was a long time ago, and things with CReST are likely to be differant.... Trucking definately isJ_FROG Thanks this.

97 was quite a long time ago so I would assume (hope) that things are different now. I personally know a couple people who have been through their training and are nearing the end of their 8 months contract, 1 is leaving and going somewhere else, the other is staying and I will be his co-driver once I get through school, maybe I should have said this in my opening post but I wanted open honest opinions. I was hoping to hear from a few more than 2 or 3 here that might have some first hand different insights to what it is like working for them. I know there's good and bad everywhere. From what I have learned crst is pretty good to the people who actually wanna drive and are on time etc. and the crybabies get to sit alot.. I am a work alcoholic no matter what I am doing so I think I should be just fine with them. I know the pay is very crappy but I am already preparing for that, I think if you go in prepared for the worst then you are already 2 steps ahead of most. Just my opinion anyway.
I still welcome thoughts from anyone else who wants to chime in with their opinions and I'd like to thank everyone who already has! -
Insight on already having a team mate ( you trust) , eases my mind a little. You will have a little support , it sounds like. Trust is a big deal in team , more so with sexes mixed. Will he live in your area? I can try to get both of you on solo here , just let me know. Best of luck.
Pameee Thanks this. -
Yes I do have a team mate, and I do trust him, explicitly. But, like everyone should I still do my own homework. This is a huge career move for me and even though it is a lifelong dream I am not foolish and will never enter into any situation with blinders on. And yes, he lives near my home in Florida, even though I am up on Long Island right now for work, home for me is Florida.
He assures me I will be fine. I am reading everything I can now and I've taken the practices tests a few times and done surprisingly well (84-95), except airbrakes and well I didn't know a darn thing about airbrakes so I'm actually proud of the 52% I got right on the test LOL -
