I am looking to get started hauling specialty cars or 2 cars at one time. I have a 32 foot long flat trailer with ramps that can hold up to 10k, I am looking to start by
leasing on with a company to give this a try before jumping in head first. I am wondering if anyone out there would be interested in my setup and leaseing me on to their company
The 32 foot trailer is good for Limousines that would normally not fit or take up too much room on a 9 or 10 car hauler
Good for people that want 2 normal sized cars moved from A to B at the same time to around the same place etc.
It can hold pallets on it for a hotshot type setup and more..
I am located in the Albany,NY area and would like to run the east coast. NY to FL type area.. NO NYC
Thanks for the help!
Looking to Lease on

I wouldn't rule out NYC. There are a plethora of people that have residences in NYC and the surrounding burbs that move cars back and forth to their houses up here and places south... FL included.
-
Do you think you will make money at this?
-
There are people out there charging over $3.00 per mile to move cars. I don't plan on charging or getting that much BUT I do offer a niche type trailer. 2 Cars or 1 limousine or 32 foot of pallets side by side.
I would be willing to pick up from the AREA NEAR NYC if people were willing to meet me at say exit 14 at the palasades center mall parking lot. Everyone knows that trailers are NOT allowed in the city during normal
hours. -
You need to do A LOT more research on this.
What kind of truck do you have? -
The truck is a 1 ton dully ford 350. It's a type of hotshot setup. I could haul some's Gooseneck or 5th wheel if that was what they required as long as the trailer was provided.

2 car trailer is a non-starter. Many who will undercut you will have a 3 or 4 car trailer and of course the more on the deck, the more revenue.
Oh and no one will meet you to do a pick up. I've shipped a lot of cars in my life and won't chase anyone - I'm easy going about this. -
A well kept 99 with a 7.3 and no I do not have my CDL, I am trying to stay at or under 26,001 Lbs GVRW . The truck has had the TOP and bottom and transmissions rebuilt as of last year. Runs like a top. NO ROT, NO RUST.. Always wash the salt off every chance I get being in NY and all.
