Been awhile since I posted @Chinatown helped me go with Trimac and I have been there for 3 years now, great advice. Things have changed and I want to save up 50-90k in as little time as possible. I have a small dog and cat and live near Austin, TX. Most places I have called only allow one pet sadly, was hoping there might be a better solution I'm not seeing on the job boards. Willing to do anything anywhere as long as I can live in truck and take the pets. Thanks in advance.
Looking to live OTR with 2 small pets. Texas

Shaffer - Crete - Hunt Transportation allow 2 pets, dog & cat
All 3 companies are in the Crete family of trucking companies.

I know one driver that was with Shaffer and switched to Hunt. Seems to like Hunt better, but said both are ok.Last edited: Sep 1, 2023

Big M Transportation allows 2 pets, dog & cat.

Yeah Crete is dry van, I wouldn't do dry van with any company. Hunt is flatbed and the guy I mentioned likes it there. Shaffer is reefer.

Navajo doesn't allow cats, for those looking at this thread in future. Called Crete and they seem super cool, both cats and dogs allow 2, they dock .1 cent for them plus deposit. Chinatown Thanks this.

Don't know how old this photo is, but it's Hunt Transportation.

Only done tanker mostly and LTL, whats the rub with dry van? Crete said they are 70% drop and hook, so thats a plus.

Good info, I'll mark Navajo off my list for cats. A driver recently posted Navajo told him he can bring his cat.
