If all you're looking for is money, and don't mind hand unloading and long hours, then I also agree with Mclane. Potential to make 100k and more, and I know they have apprenticeships there too, but I wouldn't recommend it for a new driver. You have to make deliveries to WaWa, 7-11, etc., and most likely you'll get the bad runs where you have to back up into tight, crowded places. Local work like Mclane is better suited for more experienced drivers who know how to deliver in cities and back up into tight places. So if you're confident enough with your driving skills, I would go with Mclane. Good luck.

Look at the foodservice rant link or the Mclane links. They have drivers making 120k. I worked in food delivery industry for 9 years and I knew about the potential to make money at Mclane. Not that I would ever drive for them, because of the long hours, hand unload, and being oncall, but the question on this post was what companies had the potential to make good money, and Mclane is one of them. Obviously your company is anouther one.

Yeah it is non union. I think Warren Buffett owns the company, but if money is what you want, you'll definately make it there. There are other companies that also pay really well, where you can make 80k and more. Off the top of head, Walmart, Wegmans, Supervalu, UPS ground and freight, Fed Ex ground and freight, USPS, and majority of the LTL companies out there. Most of them are union, but the ones that you can make over 100k aren't, such as Walmart, Mclane, and Wegmans, although Wegmans have union and non union places. I think the one in New York is union though, and majority of these copanies won't hire without years of experience.

Ashley furniture has a gig out of Syracuse. Weekends off can do 60-70k easy on truckload 70-90k LTL doing store deliveries tailgating loads. Not quite as labor intensive as food service. Will hire with a year and a clean record.
