What type of freight do you want to haul? Your picking a very nice truck with a lot of miles. All those bells and whistles drive the price up. If your doing open deck or tanker a 70" mid roof is consideredbly cheaper. Have you looked at truck paper?
Personally I would go thru select trucks and get one with remainder of a factory warranty. Plus get a 14 or newer rumor says emmisions are better at this point.
This has less miles and not as nice. Engine hours, not sure. It's about making money. This is truck paper you can search with a wide variety parameters.

sounds like a $ 40,000 truck to me and if your going to spend over 50000 you better find a 14 or newer as the emissions is a lot better . freightliner isn't a bad way to go and I have good luck with Detroits .... they quit making peterbuilts several years ago it's a Pacar now they just sell the peterbuilt name
truckthatpassesyouby and 77fib77 Thank this. -
The truck is priced too high. it should be under $45k.Lepton1 Thanks this. -
The biggest problem with getting a used truck right now is a low supply of good trucks and demand is through the roof. Dealers are padding their prices because of that and getting it. I've been looking for a good used truck for months, and I finally gave up and my new truck is being delivered in a couple weeks. Going to cost me an arm and a leg, but I'll have a bumper to bumper warranty for 3 years and won't have to deal with paying for expensive repairs. Extended repair times I'll get a rental truck.

actually the experts are saying that used truck prices will start to slide this winter as the record number of orders for new trucks .... we will see ... the prices for new trucks are going up for sure ...... for a first truck I would look into penske as they have very good maintainance records and most of the drivers that drive those have experience ... think they have a little warranty also and maybe financing

Do you run California? If not, I would look at a used glider. Do your homework, look at all avenues.

Lot of good advice so far. I run an old Freightliner 2001 . Can’t imagine dealing with any of the horror stories I hear all the time about $13000 emission repair bills. Lots of rip offs and just bad mechanics. Rawze on Youtube is very good although he runs Internationals with Cummins. They can’t give Intefnationals away these days big problems. You say you really want a Pete. I’ll tell you what my Father told me 22 yrs ago because I still believe he was right. Get what you want because it will make yourself happier while working. Whatever you buy you will be stuck in it for a good while. Upgrading in a year or two may be impossible without coming up with a large amount of cash due to being upside down.Especially a Freightliner they lose value fast. I like them but I keep trucks a long time.I almost bought a used very practical International as a first truck. Thank God he talked me out of it. I took his advice and bought a western star.No matter what you buy,You won’t suddenly get rich once it’s paid off due to increased maintenance. Add to that a truck with no resale and you can end up spending more than the trucks worth on a major repair just to keep from taking a total loss. Then you’ll have to run it at least another year to justify the repair. Just my opinion look around take your time you may find something you really want. Meanwhile you will have a better idea of what’s a good price or not.Good Luck to you.
Lepton1 Thanks this. -
We just traded in some 2014 Kenworth 680s. Cummins with autos. Dealer wouldn’t give us over $30k for them all had less miles than the one your looking at. No APU’s though.
Just as a comparison. -
I seen the prices peak back in June and now sliding a little. -
that's the we will see was in there for lol ...... the experts were from a truck magazine I got at a truck stop. .... if everything we read at truck stops was true we would all be working for crengland or swift lol. so we will see what happens. .... I think even the new prostars have a waiting list new trucks are selling at best ever levels. ..... I heard through the grapevine that old white volvos are in short supply so some of the company's around Chicago are asking the Russians to bring them with them from the mother country
