Okay I think I didnt include enough info in my original post. I currently dont hold a cdl im in the process of getting them back with endorsements, Ten years ago I drove a cement mixer locally only required a class b I went on my own and got my class A with all the endorsements when i left the field i had the class A and endorsements removed big mistake I have never driven a 18 wheeler the reason for the original post was to see if there were any local O/O in the DFW who might be interested in sharing knowledge about the trucking industry i would love to do a ride along Im not looking to go otr but i will have to see I understand with the pandemic ride along might not be possible but i understand

If someone is looking to drive a truck, usually just having the license is not enough without some training. Most trucking companies/insurance want to have some proof the driver has some experience or did some training that they approve. That's part of the reason trucking companies do their own training. I'm not sure what info your looking for, if it how to drive in city or snow or mountains or how HOS work or trip planning. Their are lots of little things to learn
