So I have a dilemma. I have owner operators in my family such as my dad and my cousin. I am currently a company driver, but I'm uncertain for how much longer I can stand not truly having a say in what I do. I was curious to know if anyone has previous experience in either working for an owner operator that put them in a truck or if anyone is an owner op that I guess you can say subcontracts the truck to another driver. I want to know more information on all of this and being my dad went from company to o/o it's hard to really get a good read on his info. I'm just trying to be able to put more food on the table.

Midwest-coast Transport is all owner-operators that hire drivers for their trucks.

Dartco may have something you're interested in.

Panther Premium Logistics has owner-operators that hire drivers for their trucks.

I haven't driven for these companies; just aware of them and think worth researching, based on your post.

If you go to work for an owner operator how is that not the same as being a company driver?

It is the same. You will be a company employee of the O/O's company.
