I think I'm starting to get it, now.

    - Come on here with a question regarding a company and its reputation.
    - Get one or two positive opinions from drivers with 0 - 2 years experience.
    - Get a boatload of warnings from drivers with up to several decades of experience.
    - Take the advice of those that are still green, for the most part, as to what this business is all about.
    - Tell the old hands they just don't understand.
    - Come back later and say the company screwed you even though you were told it would happen.

Well, good luck to you, then.

If you go to SWIFT, you still will not have money at the start of training, same as CRST, but you will have comfort wile waiting to climb the ranks.

*insert company name here* screwed me over, is a ripoff, lied to me, made me starve, yada yada yada. I dont care how good a company claims to be, or how good a driver claims it is. No matter, let me repeat, no matter, where you go, whatever company you look at, is going to have stories such as these. Experience, tears trucking, got much respect for ya. However, doesnt mean you know everything to know about every company. Its such a ######## bittersweet back and forth on here. Youre job, no matter where you go, is what YOU make of it. NOT what Tom, Dick or HArry experienced.

Can't agree more. You might love it and someone else will hate it or vise versa.

You get out what you put in…and that goes for everything in life. I start training with CRST on Monday and was hopping to find a couple of other drivers from south Florida so we could do the 20/10. I'm paying my own way through training because I refuse to be trapped with a company who doesn't give miles. I like the 20/10 for several reasons. 1.) It gives you a lot of home time. 2.) I was told they get priority dispatching because they need that truck to keep moving so that you get a months worth of work in 20 days. 3.) Variety in co-drivers, you can pick up experience from 2 others instead of 1 since you drive 10 days with each. Hopefully, I can find some others from the miami / south Florida area who also want to give it a shot.

McFatter is good, but three weeks as opposed to 20weeks of school? I rather start getting paid sooner, that's why I choose crst. Besides, the money youre missing by sitting in class more then makes up the difference of a slightly cheaper school at mcfatter. Both you guys should try the 20/10 program with me, 10 days home sounds good to me.
