Lonewolf, you ever get a truck? Well today we got pissed on till after lunch. Texas parallel, and alley dock. One thing about this academy. Do it their way, leave your habits at home. They are serious about your training. We hit the road tomorrow. More tomorrow.
Hey everyone I went through the FFE school and next Monday is my last day with my trainer. I started the school august 15th and it was hotter then hell. And yes they do take there training very seriously. My class started with close to 30 and only 15 made it out alive. If you have any problems when you go out with your trainer after you get outta the school just call Jd in the training department and they will get you a new trainer. I can't wait till next Monday when I get to upgrade
This class started with 44 and it's down to 26 now. The attrition rate is close to 50% simply based on people who think they are going to get anything over this place or the people. Well yesterday was basic shfting and control. Today we played in traffic. More of the same and advanced evolutions tomorrow. One week left!!
Been a productive week. Final evals are tomorrow. I should be in orientation on Monday, on a trainer's truck by Thursday. This weekend is supposed to be busy, so I may not get to update this frequently. Hang in there, I let you know what happens.
I like FFE been with them for about 8 weeks I have ran all over the country if you only go out 3 weeks or so then u wont go out west I was just out for 7 and ran all over the country I dont like the lumper part though they do remburrse though but its a pain dealing with that though every run or so and dont expect alot of drop and hooks you do alot of live unloads and live loads
you live in Indiana, keep us inform on how they run you, like RT-70 and RT-80 and possibly RT-81 and that to get you home, do you plan on getting home every 2 weeks or 3 weeks, if you have a home to take care of better for 2 weeks, also don't they have lumber contracts with most costumers most reefer company's do, also YES one more question, do most of there delivery's are between 11:00pm and 4am, most reefers are, used to be with transam back in the 90's
Final quals finished, weekend of alley dock stuff. Monday we head to Lancaster for orientation. Then 6 weeks with trainer. Should get my truck around the 24th of November, I might actually be home for my 39th birthday! But I ain't holdin' my breath...
