Just read the thread, everything I know is in the thread maybe one of the others can help you out. I didn't work for omni, I was just a driver trying to inform other drivers

This might be a good wake up call for some of the drivers that were falling behind on bills after not being paid. Maybe it's time you make a budget and live off of less than you make and save money.

    Ok with your Financial Class...
These Employees did nothing to NOT BE PAID...Have some compassion because if you did work and didn't get paid you would be Upset also...NO MATTER IF YOU HAD MONEY IN THE BANK OR NOT !!!!

Melley, Bumper and drvrtech77 Thank this.

First of all Omni Filled a Chapter 11 (reorganization) and now it has become a Chapter 7 (ending the business)
All employees must file a "Proof of Claim" to become "creditors" now
HONESTLY.... this is probably going to be a long process

I agree because even if you put money back not being paid a couple thousand dollars can still put your finances on very tight status so to speak so some people just don't get it

Just spent about an hour talking with a Blair Logistics lease guy. He got an '08 Columbia (super clean and beautifully maintained) for $24,000. With an $800 balloon at the end. Not a bad deal, in my eyes. Older engine, no DPF BS, and he said he's real happy with the rates and treatment. Also said they were very careful in going through the ENTIRE contract, no hidden surprises.

I'm waiting. Partially due to the fact my boss REALLY doesn't want to lose me as a company driver, partially due to my hoping I can get my greedy paws on one of our older Western Stars, and partially due to needing a few questions answered concerning my trailer.

I want to buy the truck and trailer as a unit. My tarping days are long, long gone!

I feel bad for the drivers and theire families but I'm just saying when a person has money set aside they tend to make better decisions. When you're falling behind on billls most likely you would take any job offer but if you have couple months living expenses saved it gives you time to find a much better job. Plus you wouldn't be soo stressed about all the things that are going on.
