Well this might be some good news for you guys waiting on Maverick.

Got a letter today from my recruiter to call in for orientation. If it had been last week it woulda been good for me.

But, just got my truck and insurance paid up good to go recently so I guess it's too late to turn back.

I assume the letters are going out in the order of people waiting. I was originally ok'd for specialized in November if that gives you an idea of your wait.

I Do know that you DON'T have to be a recent grad. One of the nice things about them is they don't do refreshers.

They will want to verify work history and can be picky about that, but it doesn't have to be driving.

I'm not experienced. Only eligible for specialized though.

    Please pardon my ignorance.....

What would be the difference? Are'nt they both part of the "flatbed family"? I thought specialized at Maverick was glass?

It is. For whatever reason they still call their old primary business "flatbed division" and the new glass division acquired from Schneider the "specialized division".

You can see the breakdown at drivemaverick.

The 3rd division is MAC IC which is for the lease operators. All 3 are flatbed.

Specialized does more than glass. They also have stepdecks and RGN's for heavy hauling.
