Just got my CDL and looking to buy my truck. Is there a particular model of truck u can advice I put my money on and where can I get them? Appreciate ur input

right now you’re gonna have to cough up some serious cash or buy a truck that is mechanical sound but no one else wants .

there were a lot of trucks from movie production company’s in California , that were forced to sell because of California’s outlawing older trucks .
The movie trucks sat around alot and didn’t roll up alot of miles .


I saw a very nice 98 international cabover for sale for $20k
Set back steer axle , air ride drives , stand up double length sleeper ,

Have a competent Mechanic check it over closely , dyno test etc

cabovers pull trailers just as good as any other truck , and even the ones in good condition sell for next to nothing .

 

Use to have 3 different ones before the CDL change over. Ahh the good old days. Some ways I miss them and other ways I don’t

No; the typical was 3 tickets in one year, and your license was suspended. So you obtained a license from another state and when you had accumulated 2 tickets, you switched to presenting the spare. My first use was in CN and I applied the AR set. Officer was a closet racist (unheard of at that time) and had him a live source. It honestly took me a few minutes to figure out what he was referring to in "That little trouble you people are having down there". He was most helpful. Got accelerated judgement for $35.00 cash bond (legit) and was delivered back to my truck.

 

I have a 2014 freightliner cascadia dd15/10speed auto shift. 400k miles I’ll sell it to you for 60k. It’s in Oregon though.
